FARISSIER, DOROTHY M. 83, of Whiting, passed away on June 25, 2015 at Hackensack University Medical Center.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA, resided in Brooklyn, NY and Waldwick, NJ prior to moving to Whiting in 1985.  Dorothy worked hard all of her life caring for her family but also outside of her home, for 30 years, she drove countless children on her school bus in both Waldwick and Manchester Township.  Dorothy was incredibly nice and always thoughtful.  She would drive miles to deliver a crumb cake or pick up a dog.  She loved her children and grandchildren, her friends and their friends, with all of her heart.  She left this earth way too soon but will always and forever be in our hearts. Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Tuckerton and belonged to the United Methodist Woman’s Group.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Raymond and is survived by her children, Glenn Morris (Susan), West Milford, NJ, Susan Walsh (Marc) of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Michael Farissier (Debbie) of Freehold, NJ, and Ruth Ann Valentine (Craig) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., grandchildren, Raegan, Ryan (Kristina), Tim, Scott and Aidan, great-grandchildren Michael and Nathaniel along with cousin David and Sandy Meyers.  She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Mollie.

Visitation will be held on Monday – June 29, 2015 from 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, NJ.  Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 10–10:30 AM followed by a service at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church-Tuckerton, 126 North Green St., Tuckerton, NJ.  Burial will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the First United Methodist Church of Tuckerton, 126 N. Green Street, Tuckerton, NJ 08087.
