NUGENT, GEORGE E., “TODDY”, 81, of Tuckerton passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 while at home with family.  He was born in West Creek and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Engineer throughout the East Coast. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Tuckerton, a former Counselman, a former member of Tuckerton First Aid Squad, a former Past Master for The Masonic Lodge #4, and Past Junior Grand Deacon for the Grand Lodge of New Jersey.

“Toddy” was predeceased by his wife Shirley and son Keith Nugent.  He is survived by his daughter Sheila and husband Jeff Sledden of Williamsburg, VA., his son Todd Nugent and wife Susan of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., daughter-in-law Sharon Nugent, grandchildren Shane, Jesse, Jeffrey, Cassidy, Jake, Dylan, Todd Jr., great-grandchildren Jace, Audrina, and his nephews James and Doug Nugent. 

Visitation will be Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 9-10:30 AM, with a service at 10:30 AM at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, N. Green St., Tuckerton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Tuckerton Historical Society, P.O. Box 43, Tuckerton, N.J., 08087.
