Avis Cranmer Obituary

Cranmer, Avis Diane, 77 of Tuckerton, NJ, died November 7, 2022 at home with family.  She was born in New York City on January 17,1945 to the late Kurt and Roslyn Bierhoff and was a graduate of Washington, New Jersey High School.  After high school, Avis began employment for Prudential Insurance in Newark, moving to Millville and later to Linwood. 

Avis and Bud were married on July 17, 1965.  She was a devoted mother to their two children and grandmother to her three grandchildren.  She and Bud worked together in a tax and accounting practice in Tuckerton for more than 30 years and was an active member of the Tuckerton United Methodist Church. 

She is survived by her husband Bud, son Kevin of Tuckerton, daughter Stefanie Curran (Ben) and grandchildren Nathan, Rebecca, and Margaret of Atlanta, GA., and her sister Kathe Bierhoff of St. Petersburg, FL.  She was predeceased by her sister Lois Scheff and brother Jerry Bierhoff.

Private services will be held at Wood Funeral Home and burial at Tuckerton Greenwood Cemetery.   A memorial service will be held at the Tuckerton United Methodist Church, 134 N. Green Street, Tuckerton at 12:00 pm on Monday, November 14.

Donations may be made to the Tuckerton United Methodist Church or to Angelic Health Hospice, 81 E. Water Street 2A,Toms River, NJ  08753. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 E. MAIN ST., TUCKERTON is handling the arrangements.
