Obituary

Rocheskey, Bernard “Eiben”, 88- of Tuckerton, died November 5th after a long illness.  Born at the family homestead on West Main Street in 1934 to the late Harry and Leona Rocheskey, he was a lifelong resident of Tuckerton.  Eiben was a 1952 graduate of Tuckerton High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Army, where he spent most of his time stationed in Worms, Germany.  In 1960, he started his career with the Atlantic City Electric Company, where he was a member of I.B.E.W Local 210.  During his career, he worked out of Pleasantville, West Creek, Cologne, and Mays Landing Operations.  He completed 33 years of service, retiring in 1993.  In his younger years, he served his community as a member of the West Tuckerton Fire Company, Tuckerton First Aid Squad, and the Tuckerton Fire Company.   He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church where he had previously served on the Administrative Council.  He is predeceased by his brother Donald, and sisters Bernice Crane and Janis Temple.  He is survived by his wife Dorothy and mother-in-law Eleanor Cowperthwaite, sons Don (Jill) and Harry (Jennifer), grandchildren, Dylan, Lauren, Paige, Jakob, and Emily, and great-grandson, Logan.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 9th at 10:15 am at Greenwood Cemetery, North Green Street, Tuckerton.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the First United Methodist Church, 134 North Green Street, Tuckerton in his memory.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.
