Brian W Priest

Brian William Priest (66) passed away on November 10, 2025.

Brian was raised in Green Bank, NJ where he still resided. He attended Oakcrest High School where he graduated in 1977 and then attended ACCC where he received his Associate’s Degree. He was a proud member of the Green Bank Volunteer Fire Company for many years where he served as Assistant Chief. Brian worked as the shipping supervisor at Lenox China until the day the doors closed. After leaving Lenox, he went back to school, attending Stockton College where he received his degree in teaching, specializing in Special Education. He worked for the Salem School District until his retirement. During the summer months, he worked security at the Bass River State Park.

We will remember and cherish our dad and all the fun things we did with him. Like the annual Memorial Day Weekend campouts in the backyard. The softball tournaments held at the Green Bank Elementary School. Our camping trips to Atsion Family Campground, as well as many other state parks. Canoe Trips. Halloween where he would dress up in his old man mask and scare the trick or treaters. And many more.

Brian is predeceased by his mother Lillian E. Wills (Walters) and stepfather Carlton (Carty) Wills. He was the proud father to Jennifer Priest (Mike) Forked River, NJ and Jamie Hellgren (Erik) Temple, ME. And the loving Poppop to Brielle Hill, Gunner Losasso, Phineas and Josie Hellgren. He also leaves behind his brother Walter Priest (Jacki) and a huge family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian never wanted a funeral where people would cry and mourn his death. His request was for a party for everyone to celebrate his life. We will honor his wishes by holding a Celebration of Life on November 15th at 1PM at the Green Bank Volunteer Fire House. 2426 Rt 563 Green Bank, NJ 08215.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Green Bank Volunteer Fire House and/or the Green Bank Ambulance Squad.
