Bruce Lucas

LUCAS, BRUCE SR., 79, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Galloway, N.J.  He was born in Boston, MA., residing in Governor’s Island, N.Y., and Metuchen, N.J. prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor.  Bruce was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran.   He worked as a Warrant Officer for the U.S. Government, Governor’s Island, N.Y.  Bruce was a member of St. Theresa R.C. Church, Little Egg Harbor, and also Knights of Columbus. 

Bruce is survived by his wife Alicia Lucas, sons Jasper Lucas, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Dr. Bruce Lucas Jr., of Prospect, KY, brothers Wayne Lucas, Gary Lucas, and sister Renee Lucas, all of Massachusetts, grandchildren Bishop Lucas, Gunner Lucas, Maxavier Lucas, and Rocco Lucas, along with great-grandchildren Franchesca Lucas and Benjamin Lucas. 

Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021, from 8:30-10:30 A.M. at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11 AM, at St. Theresa R.C. Church, 450 Radio Rd., Little Egg Harbor, N.J., followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beachview Ave., Manahawkin, N.J.
