C. Eugene Jr. "Bud" Cranmer

Charles Eugene “Bud” Cranmer Jr., age 85, of Tuckerton, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025 at home with family.  He was born in Tuckerton, NJ to the late C. Eugene Cranmer, Sr. and Helena Morey Cranmer.  Bud graduated from Tuckerton High School.  He attended New Jersey College of Commerce and Stockton State College.  He married  Avis in 1965. 

Bud was an Accountant for almost 50 years.  He began his career in the mid 1970’s working for J.F. Bradway & Son, Atlantic City, NJ as a Property Manager and then an Accounting & Tax Manager.  Bud founded his own accounting firm, C. Eugene Cranmer, Jr. Public Accountant in Tuckerton, NJ in 1985 and continued to work until November 2025.

A lifelong resident of Tuckerton, Bud was an active member of the community and spent much of his time volunteering.  Some of the organizations that he served include the Tuckerton Exchange Club, July 4th Celebration Committee, and Tuckerton Old Homes Society.  He was a devout member of Tuckerton United Methodist Church and a member of the Tuckerton Masonic Lodge. 

He is survived by his son, Kevin Cranmer of Tuckerton; daughter, Stefanie Curran (Ben) and grandchildren Nathan, Rebecca, and Margaret of Atlanta, GA.  He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Avis, his brother Dale Cranmer, and his sister Julia Leitz.

A burial will be held at Tuckerton Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM.  Following the burial, a memorial service will be held at the Tuckerton United Methodist Church, 134 N. Green Street, at 11:00 AM.
