Catherine A. Colmyer

COLMYER, CATHERINE A., 66, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., passed away peacefully early Monday, January 18, 2021, at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Galloway, N.J.  She was born in Bayonne, N.J., residing in Barnegat, N.J. where she worked and raised her family prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor 25 years ago.    Cathy was a fun loving up beat person who was always positive in any situation.  Her wonderful loving energy left a lasting impression on all those whose lives she touched, especially her family.  She lived most of her life as a devoted mother to her five sons and grandchildren.  Spending time baking in the kitchen with her grandkids is what she loved the most.  They were her entire world and they adored her equally.  Nothing was more important to Cathy than her family.                                                                                                     Cathy was predeceased by her husband Jack F. Colmyer, parents Ivan and Anna Szkapiak, and two brothers Peter Szkapiak and Steven Szkapiak.  She is survived by her sons Jack Colmyer Jr., Cliff Colmyer, Jeff Colmyer, (Tiffany), Tim Colmyer, (Melissa), and Petey Colmyer, (Corrine Frye), all of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., sister Marie Banasiak, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., brother John Szapiak, of Lacey, N.J., sister Irene Kobryn, of Bayonne, N.J., fifteen grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Mass will be said February 20, 2021, at 11 AM, at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, 450 Radio Rd., Little Egg Harbor, N.J.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.
