Moritz, Courtney E., 38,
Of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2023 with her husband, parents and three siblings by her side at Cooper Medical Center, Camden, NJ. Courtney “kept on swimming” through her courageous medical battle. She was born in Freehold, NJ, residing in Howell for 32 years prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2017. Courtney attending Saint Veronica’s Elementary School In Howell, NJ and Saint Rose High School in Belmar, NJ. She earned her degree from both Kean University and Brookdale Community College in Preschool Special Ed. She worked as a Special Education Teacher for Robert C. Wood Early Childhood Center (ECC), Little Egg Harbor, NJ for 5 years. She worked at Goddard, The Learning Experience and HeadStart before working at ECC. Courtney loved spending her summers in Barnegat Light, LBI NJ as a summer resident since she was 6 years old. She worked summers in LBI at Yuletide for 4 years. And Courtney was known as “The White’s Barnegat Light Deli Girl” for 25 years.
Courtney is survived by Stephen Moritz, daughter Ariella Irene Moritz, parents Brian and Diane McNally, of Howell, NJ, sisters Danielle McNally and Joseph Flynn, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Heather McNally-Dover and John Headley, known as Nee Nee to her 3 nephews, Collin, Preston, Declan and bonus nephews John John, Nathan and Harrison, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, brother Shawn McNally and wife Morgan, and nephew on the way, of Toms River, NJ.
She is also survived by father-in-law Bill Moritz and his wife Patty, mother-in-law Vickie Moritz-Sippel, 2 brother in laws Chris and Justin Moritz, and two grandmother-in-laws Shirley Moritz and Regina Sippel.
She is also survived my many Aunts, Uncle, cousins, friends and extended family.
A viewing will be held Monday April 24, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Tuesday April 25, 2023 9-10 AM. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday April 25, 2023 10:30 AM at St Mary’s of The Pines 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, burial to follow in St Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin.
