David J. Heinrichs

Heinrichs, David J., 71 of New Gretna, passed away January 25, 2022 after complications from surgery. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Pamela (Miller), his daughters Dawn Speck (Ron) of New Gretna, Danielle Rice (Kimani) of Northeast Maryland and sons David (Ginger Belk) of New Gretna and Donald Ford of Dover, DE. Dave is also survived by several grandchildren, Shane Montgomery (Kamah) of Lacey, WA, Brett Montgomery (Lyra) of Schuylkill Haven, PA., David Heinrichs of New Gretna, Trent Heinrichs of Manahawkin, Ronnie Speck of New Gretna, Cascidy and Savanna Ford of Dover, DE Dominique Rice of Alexandrea, VA and Aimee Belk of New Gretna, great grandchildren Aaliyah, Jaden and Darien, along with siblings Pat Lynch, Saint Johnsbury, Vt., Eileen Kaufholz (Ed), Chatsworth, N.J., Georgianna Kostiuk, Little Egg Harbor, N.J., Dale Heinrichs, Hillsdale, N.J.  He was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Lydia Heinrichs, and sisters Mable Allen, and Elsie Bower.

Dave retired from the Tuckerton/LEHT Post Office where he started as a letter carrier over 45 years ago and then became a window clerk in the old Mystic Island branch and Tuckerton Post Office. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years and later enjoyed traveling, walking in the woods and playing the slots at the casinos. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and playing with his great grandchildren when he got to see them.

There will be a viewing at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5-8pm with a small service to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Autism Speaks @ autismspeaks.org.
