Delores Russano

In loving memory of Dolores Russano, whose journey on this earth was ended unexpectedly on July 26, 2024 within the embrace of her home in New Gretna. As her daughter I bear witness to an incredible life. She was born in Nutley New Jersey, found her roots in Belleville where she grew with her family into the remarkable woman who we all knew and loved. A city girl turned farmer, as She embarked on a new unique adventure when she married her beloved husband, Dominico. Transforming from a Ceramics studio owner (Jodi’s) in Belleville alongside her brother, to 13 acre farm land that became a canvas for her labor of love. Together with her “Italian cowboy” and their wavering dedication, pouring their hearts into it, their hands bore the marks of their devotion. Her affection extended beyond the farm , from stray cats to dogs and every farm animal in between and aside from her farming chores, She juggled raising children, grandchildren, and serving as a trusted school bus driver for 25 years . Her pride in this role was apparent in every child that was touch by her warm, and adored heart. She became an icon in her own right and a beacon of love and safety on those school runs. Each of her grandchildren, held a peace of our heart and she would move mountains for them without hesitation. To say that Dolores touch countless lives is an understatement. She was a beacon of love, funny, and had a kindness that developed to all who crossed her path. At times cheesy, her love was genuine and her loyalty unwavering. The void of her passing will be deeply felt by a multitude of people she influenced and adored. As a farewell to our wife ,mother, sister grand mother, and great grandmother and a friend of endless love end and generosity’s. Dolores is a legacy with heart of gold, and she will truly be missed. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Josephine Magnotti, husband Domenico and her brother frank Magnotti. Survived by her children ,Jennifer Marts( Robert), Frankie Russano(Diane), Dominic Russano(Donna), Hilda Thibault (Karl). Grandchildren, Giovanni Grasso, Sofia Grasso, Sontino Grasso, Dominic Russano lll, Brittany Burnell (Pat), Cassandra Thibault and Savannah,Dylan Thibault (Maira),Emily Thibault, Antoinette Brown (Sean), Danielle, Frankie . And numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. A viewing will be Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 10 AM until the service at 12 PM and burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, NJ.
