Diane M. Dodds

DODDS, DIANE M., 81, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Mystic Meadows, Little Egg Harbor, N.J.  She was born in Jersey City, N.J., residing in Metuchen and Hazlet prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1977.  Diane earned her Associates Degree in Nursing and her Bachelors of Science from Stockton University. She worked as a registered nurse for Ocean County Health Dept., Toms River, N.J. for 16 years.  Prior to that she worked for Kessler Memorial Hospital, and Atlanticare as an Emergency Room & Cardiac Care Nurse.  She worked in the Environmental Science field for many years.  Diane was a loving mom and grandmom.  She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, of 12 years, C. Edward Dodds, daughter Colleen Dodds-Wurtz, and son Keith Dodds.  Diane is survived by her daughter Sue Schumacher and husband Dr. Bill Schumacher, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., along with grandchildren Nikki Nolan and Katie Nolan, also son-in-law Bill Wurtz, of Hamilton, N.J. 

Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2024 from 10 AM-12 PM, with a Service at 12 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, N. Green St., Tuckerton, N.J. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Browns Mills, N.J., or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
