Dolores A Wainen

WAINEN, DOLORES ANNE, 90, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family, on May 12, 2026.  Dolores treasured time spent with family and friends, and her dinner table was always filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. 

Dolores was born in Newark, NJ to the late John and Frances Pelligrino.  She devoted her life to her family and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and caring heart. 

Dolores was a graduate of Central High School in Newark, NJ.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.  Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Michael Wainen; her sister, Rachael Pelligrino; and her son-in-law, Edward Rhatigan.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Debra Rhatigan; her dear son, Joseph Wainen (Dawn); her cherished grandchildren, Robert Rhatigan (Beth), Sean Rhatigan (Dianna), Kaitlyn Pecan (Geoffrey), Bob Wainen, Kelly Manfre, and Jessica Bonner (Leo); as well as fourteen adored great-grandchildren.

Dolores’ love, wisdom, deep family traditions, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private visitation will be held at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, NJ.
