Domenico “Dominic” Russano Jr., 68 of Little Egg Harbor

Dominic tragically passed away on November 5th, 2025 shattering the hearts of his family, friends and community. He was a devoted husband, father and Pop Pop; a loyal son, brother and true friend to many. Dominic’s children and Grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved taking his bike for a hop, fishing at the local lake or smoking cigars with the guys. Dominic was selfless and always lending a helpful hand to those around him. His love was unconditional, selfless, and prideful; his memory will forever be in our hearts.

Born in Newark, NJ and later moving to New Gretna, NJ to a family farm. In his younger years spread his wings and spent time in Riverside CA before returning to his family farm. His younger years were spent breaking, riding and competing in competitions with horses; two favorites were Scarlett and Red. In 1982 he met the love of his life Donna. They married and started their family together in Little Egg Harbor.

Dominic was a Past Chief and Life Member of West Tuckerton Fire Company Station 71. He was also past President, Chairman of the Board of Directors and sat on the Board of Commissioners for Little Egg Harbor District #1. He was an instructor at the Ocean County Fire Academy where he was known greatly for his skills in ropes and knots. Dominic was also a rescue diver and dive instructor for the company, a Life Member of both the NJ Chiefs Association and the NJ State Firefighter Relief Association. He also served as a driver for the Tuckerton First Aid Squad.

Dominic is preceded by his Father Domenico (Delores) Russano, Mother Angeliina Tetto, and Sister In-law Christine Brown.

Dominic is survived by his wife of 43 years Donna Russano, Children Dominic Russano III, Brittany & Patrick Burnell. Grandchildren Dominic Russano IV, Brantley, Zarah, and Easton Burnell. Siblings Frankie Russano (Diane), Ed Rowe, Hilda Thibault (Karl), Jennifer Marts (Robert) Joann Shaffer (Ronald) along with numerous aunts, uncle nieces, nephews and cousins.

Viewing will be held at Wood Funeral Home 134 East Main Street, Tuckerton, NJ on Thursday November 13, 2025 from 4-7PM. Casual dress requested.
