Doris C. Rahill

RAHILL, DORIS C., 89 (née Bellina) entered into eternal rest on June 22, 2022 at Mystic Meadows Rehab and Nursing Center, Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Born August 3, 1932 in Newark, NJ, where she graduated with honors from East Side High School in 1950, she worked as a bookkeeper before leaving to raise her family. Doris lived in Buffalo, NY, East Brunswick, Long Branch, Morganville, Hillsborough, Skillman, Little Egg Harbor, Tuckerton,  Mahahawkin, and Toms River, NJ. Although she moved frequently, she had strong ties to her Italian roots growing up in Newark.

She was most recently a member of St. Theresa Church, Little Egg Harbor.

Doris is predeceased by her husband W. Joseph Rahill to whom she was married for 54 years before his passing in 2020. She and Joe traveled extensively around the world to as many places as they lived including China, Egypt, Israel, England, Germany, Switzerland, France, Greece and Turkey to name a few. In addition to travel, Doris enjoyed fashion and had a knack for interior design, lending her talent to the custom homes she helped design and plan that she was always happy to open to extended family and friends.

Doris is survived by her children Kathryn Goode, of Little Egg Harbor NJ, Cecelia Carey and husband Stephen of Lawrenceville NJ and Cynthia Zschack and husband Thomas of Orange CT; grandchildren Chester Goode, Alexander Goode, Matthew Goode, N. Qasi Goode, Rebecca Carey, William Carey, Mars Zschack and Piper Zschack.

Visitation will be Sunday June 26, 2022 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM, with a service at 8 PM at WOOD FUNERAL HOME 134 EAST MAIN STREET, TUCKERTON, N.J. Entombment will be private.
