Dorothy V. Rocheskey

Dorothy Virginia Rocheskey (Cowperthwaite), 82, of Tuckerton, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026.  Dorothy was born in Mt. Holly, NJ, November 4, 1943, and was a lifelong resident of Tuckerton.  Dorothy was a 1962 graduate of Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ.  After graduation, she worked for Prudential Insurance Company in Northfield, NJ until the birth of her first child.  Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy.  She never missed a Cub Scout, soccer, basketball, football, or track and field event. Dorothy was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Tuckerton where she was active with Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed gardening, walking, reading, and watching all the Philadelphia sports teams.

She is predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Eleanor Cowperthwaite, and her husband, Eiben. She is survived by her sons, Don (Jill) and Harry (Jennifer), Grandchildren, Dylan (Chloe), Lauren, Paige, Jake, and Emily, great-grandchildren, Austin, Logan, and Noah, brother, Douglas Cowperthwaite, and dear friend, Beverly McCullough.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 21st at 2pm at Greenwood Cemetery, North Green Street, Tuckerton.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the First United Methodist Church Children’s Ministries, 134 North Green Street, Tuckerton in her memory. Wood Funeral Home, 134 East Main Street, Tuckerton is handling the arrangements.
