Eileen Townsend

TOWNSEND, EILEEN, 66, of Tuckerton, N.J., passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, Browns Mills, N.J.  She was born in West Orange, N.J., residing in East Orange, spending summers in Surf City, N.J., prior to moving to L.B.I., then to Manahawkin, and eventually ending up in Tuckerton.  Eileen was manager of Jacks N.Y.C. Bagels, Little Egg Harbor.  She was a member of Surf City EMS and was a paramedic, also past Captain of Surf City Fire Co. 

Eileen is survived by her companion Jack Reilly, of Tuckerton, N.J., brother William Townsend and wife Darlene, of Tuckerton, N.J., granddaughter Dayna Von Schmidt, her mom Samantha Gold VonShmidt,  several nieces and nephews, her closest friend Rachael Hicks, and her daughter Jordyn Ninaber, along with many friends.  A Celebration of Life will be held September 18, 2024, at 1 PM, at New Life Community Church, 595 Parkertown Dr., Little Egg Harbor.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.
