Elizabeth A. Peters

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Liz) A. Peters, age 59, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at home.

Elizabeth was born in Suffern, New York on October 29, 1964, to the late James and Joyce Delaney.  She grew up in Suffern, N.Y., and graduated from Suffern High School.  She also graduated from Ocean County College after moving to South Jersey.  Prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor, Liz resided in Manahwkin and West Creek.

In addition to loving and appreciating her whole family, she especially loved her daughter Olivia, with all her heart.  She also got much joy from her dog Tilli.  Liz forged many cherished friendships throughout her life.  She loved the outdoors and gardening, had a great sense of humor and a huge heart.   

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents James and Joyce Delaney, and brother Kevin J. Delaney.  Liz is survived by her husband Kenneth Peters, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., daughter Olivia Peters, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., her three sisters Patricia Stagg and her husband Kevin, of Martinsville, N.J., Eileen Reynar and her husband Patrick  of Brant Lake, N.Y., Christine Falkner and her husband Martin of London, England, and many nieces and nephews.  She was dearly treasured and will be missed by all.

Family and friends may gather Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 2-5 PM, with a Memorial Service at 5 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Liz’s honor to Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter., www.fosocas.org.
