Obituary

PULLEN, ELKENNY B. JR., 93, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Tuckerton, N.J., and was a lifelong area resident.  Elkenny was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1947-1950.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Tuckerton, Police Chief Association, Tuckerton First Aid Squad, and Tuckerton Fire Department.  He was employed by Little Egg Harbor Police Department for more than 30 years, serving as Chief for many years.  He is survived by his wife Barbara Pullen, daughter Deborah Pullen of Tuckerton, N.J., son Frank Pullen and wife Michelle, of Tuckerton, N.J., and daughter Carol Wohlers, of Port Ritchie, FL., sister Susan Gallagher, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., along with three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two nephews and one niece. 

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2022 from 10 AM – 12 PM, with a Service at 12 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN STREET, TUCKERTON, N.J.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, N. Green Street, Tuckerton, N.J.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in his name to Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter, 219 Stafford Park Blvd., Manahawkin, N.J., or the shelter of your choice.
