Elvira O. Frangipane

FRANGIPANE, ELVIRA O., 94, of Barnegat, N.J., passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Seacrest Village Nursing Home, Little Egg Harbor.  She was born in Bronx, N.Y., residing there prior to moving to Barnegat in 1991.  She was a retired bookeeper from Victor Stein Insurance, Bronx, N.Y.  Elvira crocheted lap robes for Veteran’s, and served as Deputy Commissioner of Girl Scouts, Bronx, N.Y. 

Elvira was predeceased by her husband Christopher.  She is survived by her step-daughter Carol Aragona and husband John, of Parrish, FL, daughter Linda Fraser and husband Tom, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., son Nicholas Apostolico and wife Melanie, of Holbrook, N.Y., grandchildren Amylyn Fessler, Anthony Downs, Kate Apostolico, Jennifer Khouri, Laura Brodie, and great-grandchildren Izabella Downs, Fiona and Candela Roman Brodie, Aidan and Sofia Khouri.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 15, 2020, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, and Monday, March 16, from 10-11 AM, with a service at 11 AM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  Burial will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J., with a service in the chapel at 1:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to VFW or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
