Eugene J Gibbons

Eugene Joseph Gibbons JR, passed away peacefully February 16th, 2024th. 

Gene was born in Glenside, PA on June 8th, 1933.  He moved to Manahawkin, NJ in 1968 and had resided there ever since.

He is survived by his loving companion of many years Ginny Oswald and her family, Daughter Kathi Pickard and family.  Nephew Chris(Stacy) and Nieces Becky and Alexa.

Gene worked for the State of NJ Road Department for 23 years and then Conway Auto Parts as a delivery driver for 16 years after his retirement from the State of NJ.

Gene belonged to the Beach Haven Moose Lodge and enjoyed his time there with friends and coworkers.

Gene was predeceased by his wife Edna and son Eugene Gibbons III and his faithful dog Shadow.

He was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and any kind of candy!

Visitation will be Saturday, February 24th, 2024 from 9 AM-11:30 AM, with a Service at 11:30 AM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, N. Green St., Tuckerton, N.J. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Popcorn Park, Lacey, N.J. or the SPCA directly.
