Gerard Sirico Obituary

Gerard “Jerry” Sirico, 67, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Methodist Olive Branch, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jerry dedicated 40 years of his life working for major casinos in Atlantic City and Tunica before retiring.A true enthusiast of anything with a motor, Jerry found joy in driving all sorts of vehicles, whether on land or water. He often jokingly said he was “just putzing around.” Jerry also had a deep love for the outdoors, spending time by the ocean, and being on the water. However, his greatest passion was being PopPop to his beloved grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Jerry’s warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Marra, and his brother, Joseph Sirico. Jerry leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Shelley Baltz-Sirico; three children, Gerard Sirico, Jamie Sirico, and Chris & Brittany Sirico; his mother, Catherine Marra; his sister, Bridget Fields, and his niece, Alexa Truex (Jeremi). He also leaves behind the ones who called him PopPop: Joseph, Nevaeh, Jacob, Lucius, Jerry Jr., and Kenneth. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Pines, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. WOOD FUNERAL HOME 134 EAST MAIN STREET, TUCKERTON, NJ is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions to this fund would be greatly appreciated to help our family with travel costs to take Jerry home to his final resting place.
