James Episale Obituary

EPISALE, JAMES N, 79, of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin.  Jim, entrepreneur, prankster, iconoclast, epicurean, and mentor was born in Yonkers, NY. He was a US Marine Corps veteran, owned Unshredded Nostalgia, Barnegat, NJ and was a member of Sextant Lodge #286 F & A M, Manahawkin.

Jim loved his family and friends, and they loved him. He knew that family are friends and friends are family. He knew that life is to be enjoyed, laughter is crucial, and food and drink bring people together. He knew that pleasures, desires, predilections, and loves should almost never be judged, whether or not you entirely understand or relate to them.

James was predeceased by his son Tavius. He is survived by his wife Barbara Episale, son Thomas Busch and wife Ashley, of Hammonton, NJ, aunt Jeanette Pease of Bend, OR, sister Rosanne Fearnley of Pompton Lakes, NJ, brother Charles “Butch” Episale of Hallstead, PA, sister Marie Episale of Pompton Plains, NJ, sister Tere Episale of Kinnelon, NJ, grandchildren Isa Faulstick, Michael Busch, and Scarlett “Gracie” Busch, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  [GU1]

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST, TUCKERTON, NJ is handling the arrangements. Donations to the Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean https://www.hfoso.org , a cause close to Jim’s heart, would be appreciated.

I get a little confused by the family tree. Should we mention aunts and uncles? Aunt Jennie specifically? [GU1]
