John R. Kumpel Jr.

John R. Kumpel, a beloved father, devoted husband, and cherished member of the Tuckerton community, passed away peacefully at his home in Sweetwater, New Jersey. 

John was known throughout Tuckerton as the amiable and kind owner of the longstanding Tuckerton Emporium. For many years, his friendly face and welcoming presence made the Emporium a true hub of the community, a place where neighbors could find what they needed and always be greeted with a smile and a kind word. His dedication to his business and the people it served was a testament to his generous spirit.

Family was the cornerstone of John's life. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty eight years, Rosemary Kumpel; his sister, Sandra Hibbard; his sons, John S. Kumpel and Jay Kumpel; his daughter, Danyell; and his adored grandchildren; Janni, Jessica, Jodryn, Johnny, and Josiah. He was a proud and supportive father and grandfather, always present in their lives and offering unwavering love and encouragement.

John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the countless members of the Tuckerton community whose lives he touched. His kindness, his warm personality, and his dedication to his town will be fondly remembered.

A Celebration of Life to honor John's memory will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Riverdeck in Sweetwater. All who knew and loved John are welcome to attend and share in remembering his life.
