Varn, Leonard K.  November 8, 1953 – November 5, 2021 - Leonard “Lenny” Varn loved many of the simple things in life: a brilliant sunset, his friends and family, a day on the boat (especially if the fishing was good), and a lively cookout that had to include barbecued chicken and homemade macaroni and cheese. While I had not seen Lenny in many years, I remember him well. He was larger than life, a truly unforgettable person.

Lenny will be greatly missed and I'm proud to have been his friend.

Cary - I was so sorry to hear of Lenny's passing.  I hope that you are doing OK and can soon remember him with smiles. Take care of yourself - you'll be in my thoughts as you go through this difficult time.

I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Lenny for more than 30 years; we shared many a laugh - and lots of hard work - when we all worked at CNA Insurance.  He and Cary and I  shared a wonderful friendship for all these years.  You could never not laugh when Lenny was around. His sense of humor was sharp, and quick, and original to him; what it wasn't was ever sarcastic or hurtful. I was so happy when he and Cary fell in love; they were so good for each other, so much the person that the other one deserved. He has left us much, much too soon, and will be missed terribly. The next time you hear the rumblings of thunder, just remember it may be the laughter in heaven, now that Lenny is there.
