Obituary

VINCIQUARRA, LISA-JANE T. (nee Maihofer), 62, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J. passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

She was born in Yonkers, NY, grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and then moved to Toms River, NJ after graduating from SUNY Cobleskill. She married her husband Tony in 1983 and moved to Little Egg Harbor, NJ in 1988. Her career as a floral designer spanned nearly four decades, starting at Driftwood Florist in Lavalette, and continuing at Flowers by P.J. in Little Egg Harbor. After leaving floral design, she began working as a paraprofessional at the Robert C. Wood Early Childhood Center where she loved to help teach the preschool children.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Anthony (Tony) Vinciquarra, her son Kevin, wife Rachel, and grandson William, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, her son Eric and wife Roxanne, of Frederick, MD, parents Hope and George Maihofer, in-laws Richard and Gretchen Longo, of Boonton Twp., NJ, sisters Hope-Claire Holbeck, husband Doug, of Clinton, NJ, and Mary-Beth Byrne, husband Jim, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, sister-in-law Darlene Garris (Vinciquarra), of Point Pleasant, NJ, brother-in-law Richard Vinciquarra, of Toms River, NJ, sister-in-law Rachel Longo, of Boonton Twp., NJ Additionally she is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, & their families. Lisa was predeceased by her sister Toni-Ann Migliore (Maihofer), and her in-laws Nan & Jon Hingos.

Her positive attitude and boundless energy allowed her to connect with any kind soul. Many of these connections were made either working at the “Flower Shop'' or through her love of selling by way of flea markets, yard sales, eBay, Craigslist, and sale groups on social media (Even if it was just a one dollar sale!).

Her vision and creativity were always showcased by her love of crafts that involved dollhouse miniatures, greeting cards, jewelry and more. Her limitless imagination was seen through her involvement with family events, her beautiful gardens, and her magical home all because of her personal touch.

She always looked forward to spending time with family and friends. Camping (50+ year tradition!), meticulous and marvelous tea parties, holidays, exploring Amish country (Lancaster, P.A.), treasure hunting at flea markets or antique stores, finding a gem in a garbage pile, and Sunday morning breakfast excursions were some of her favorites.

Her greatest love was for her family more than anything else.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 10 AM – 1 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.
