Margaret DePergola

DePERGOLA, MARGARET, 99, of Little Egg Harbor passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at home.  She was born in Syracuse, NY, resided there and in Brooklyn, NY prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor.  She was a member of St. Theresa RC Parish, Little Egg Harbor, where she was a member of the Rosary Society.  Margaret was the first female Mayor of Little Egg Harbor also serving as a Committeewoman.  She was a member of the Little Egg Harbor Republican Club and a member of the Little Egg Harbor MUA. She also volunteered on the Citizens on Patrol in Little Egg Harbor.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Benny DePergola and her daughter Jean.  She is survived by her daughter Theresa McCarthy and husband Robert of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, son Joseph DePergola and wife Carol of Groveland, FL, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, July 28, 2025 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and Tuesday July 29, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 AM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, NJ. A mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11 AM, at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, 450 Radio Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Rt 539, Tuckerton, NJ.
