Margaret E. Groff

GROFF, MARGARET (ELBERSON), 94, of Wading River, passed away August 18, 2021.  She was born to Harold and M. Evelyn (Scott) Elberson May 21, 1927.  She grew, picked and sold blueberries for 25 years, until 1985.  She was an avid reader, loved to spend time with her children, and her favorite pastime was crocheting baby blankets, hats, and sweaters for all the grandkids.  Margaret is predeceased by both parents Harold and Evelyn Elberson, her husband of 75 years Eugene Groff Sr., and her oldest son Eugene Groff Jr.  She leaves behind to cherish your memories, Harold (Skip) Groff, of Wading River, Carol (Richard) Speck of Laureldale, Larry (Paula) Groff of Little Egg Harbor, Kevin (Marion) Groff of New Gretna, daughter-in-law Dorothy Groff of Galloway, and loving sister Betty Petzak of New Gretna.  She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandsons.  She will be in our thoughts and hearts always, and will be missed by all who knew her.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.
