Mary Karen Horvath

Mary Karen Horvath (71) passed away on November 26, 2025. Mary was born in Sewickley, PA and stayed in western Pennsylvania until her family moved to central New Jersey in 1961. She married in 1976 and had one son, Robert J Horvath. Mary studied physical therapy in college, but her ultimate love was for travel. Mary worked for Main Street Travel in Milltown, NJ and afterwards was able to travel around the world multiple times and see most of the world. She loved to share her travel stories and pictures with others. She often participated in travel groups such as Road Scholar and Friendship Force, where she made lifelong relationships and friendships. One of her favorite places in the world was Albuquerque, New Mexico. When she wasn’t traveling, her home base was Little Egg Harbor and she often frequented a local music spot, Albert Music Hall in Waretown, NJ where she loved to enjoy live bluegrass music. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mary Ann Lissi, and brother Mark. She is survived by her ex-husband Bob Horvath, son Robert James Horvath, sister Roseanne Talarico and brother-in-law, Ray Talarico and niece Nicole Dollar (Matt) and nephew Bryan Talarico.
