Maureen Gernant

Maureen Gernant, age 78, passed away September 16th, 2021, at her residence.  She was a widow to Richard Gernant, they shared 40+ years of marriage together.   Maureen was born and raised in Hoboken N.J.  She was the daughter of Adeline & Frank Rotella.  Maureen excelled as a bookkeeper in Times Square New York for most of her career.  Maureen enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.  Maureen is survived by her son Harold McCrickard, her three grandchildren Bryan McCrickard, Justin McCrickard, Michael Cornell, and her four great grandchildren Isabella, Justin, Chloe, and Jonathan, whom she loved very much.  Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 12-2 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.    Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Feeding America, a nonprofit charitable organization that helps feed more than 46 million Americans.  Maureen loved to cook and always made sure there was enough food to go around.
