Nancy B. Allen-Clifton

ALLEN-CLIFTON, NANCY ‘BUNNY’, of Tuckerton, N.J., passed on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the age of 70.  She is survived by her husband Stephen Clifton, brother Bobby Allen and brother Jimmy Allen.  A New Jersey native, she and Stephen owned Clam Town Books and Marshall’s Big and Tall store in Tuckerton, Rte 9 and Green St. for 20 years.  Bunny also ran Little Egg Harbor Animal Rescue, LEHAR, from her bookstore.  In lieu of flowers she requested donations in her name be sent to Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter “FOSOCAS” at PO Box 1162, Manahawkin, 08050 or their website at fosocas.org.  She was also instrumental in the education and implementation of the Trap Neuter Return program for community cats, in Tuckerton, Little Egg Harbor, New Gretna and surrounding areas, campgrounds, nursing homes, schools, and LBI as well as local residents.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.
