Robert E. Carlson

CARLSON, ROBERT E., 85, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, N.J.  He was born in Plainfield, N.J., grew up in Cheesequake, N.J., later residing in Middletown, N.J., prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2001. Robert graduated from Matawan High School, then joined the U.S. Army, serving from 1954-1957, in Germany He then attended Newark College of Engineering, now known as N.J.I.T.  He was later employed as a Civil Engineer for the Army Corps. of Engineers, N.Y.C., retiring as head of the Plant Branch.  He was a member of NARFE.  Robert is survived by his wife Wanda Carlson, son Raymond V. Carlson, of Hoboken, N.J., and brother Ronald Carlson, WI.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.  Private services will be held in Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, Holmdel, N.J.
