Sophia Ford

FORD, SOPHIA F., 88 – of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on October 1, 2014 at Southern Ocean Center, Manahawkin, New Jersey.  She was born in Jersey City, NJ, residing there and in Hoboken, NJ, prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ  Sophia was an avid reader. “The Lady of the House” was deeply entrusted in family history.  She became a world traveler in her senior years, visiting Ireland and Lithuania three times.

Sophia is survived by her son Dennis Ford, Little Egg Harbor, NJ; daughter Felicia Ford, Fleming Island, FL; daughter Kathleen Pecoraro and Joseph, Emerson, NJ; sister Carol Castrovinci, Jersey City, NJ; Grandchildren Lt. Jason York, Luke Ford, Jennifer Paradiso, Danielle Pecoraro, Kimberly Jones and Matthew Pecoraro; Great-Grandchildren Shane York, Evan York, Alex York, Anthony Paradiso, Dante Paradiso, Sofia Paradiso, Jack Jones and Stella Jones. Sophia is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 9 AM to 10 AM, followed by a service at 10 AM at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN STREET, TUCKERTON, N.J
