Susan M. Shinkunas

SHINKUNAS, SUSAN M., 76, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., passed away peacefully Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Stuart, FL.  She was born in Newark, N.J., grew up in Menlo Park, and moved to Little Egg Harbor, N.J. to raise her family over 50 years ago.  Susan worked for Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin, N.J. for over 45 years, as an ER and PACU nurse.  She is also a longtime parishoner of St. Theresa R.C. Church, Little Egg Harbor, N.J.  Susan is predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Helen Stevely, and brothers, Robert Stevely, Thomas Stevely and David Stevely.  She is survived by her husband, of 54  years,  George Shinkunas, son, Kevin Shinkunas (Maria), of Langhorne, PA., daughters, Tara Parker, of Manahawkin, N.J., and Melissa Pascale, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., sister, Margaret Stevely, of Frenchtown, N.J., along with her beloved grandchildren, Morgan, Charlie, Jocelyn, Brady, Emma, Addison, Natalie, and Avery. 

Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, 450 Radio Rd., Little Egg Harbor, N.J.  Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, North Green St., Tuckerton, N.J.
