Theresa Marie Miller, born on October 14, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

Theresa was born and raised in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia and attended Catholic school before moving to New Jersey in 1968. She graduated from Central Regional High School. Throughout her life, Theresa dedicated herself to helping others. She worked as an emergency dispatcher from her home in Tuckerton, a cafeteria aide at Southern Regional High School, and later found her career at Acme Markets.

Theresa is survived by her beloved husband, Leonard Miller Sr., and her children: Leonard Miller Jr. (Christine Hale), William Cleary (Jacqueline Sauer), and Rebecca Driscoll (Christopher Driscoll). Her precious grandchildren Lacey, Addison, Jayden, and Madison. She is also survived by her cherished siblings: Carol Pater, Christine Cavanaugh, Marie Marr (Bob), Regina DeGennaro (Dan), Rita Steffens (Ron), Joseph Cavanaugh (Marianne), and Patrick Cavanaugh(Marie).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anne Theresa and Joseph Cavanaugh, her sister Lyn VanLeer, and her brother Michael Cavanaugh.

Theresa will be remembered for her giving spirit, infectious laughter, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She had a passion for reading, gardening, and dancing to a good tune, and deeply loved her dog, Baby. Theresa had a heart full of generosity—always putting others before herself—and her warmth made everyone feel instantly at home. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.

Family and Friends may gather Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 3-7 PM, with a Service at 6:30 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.
