Obituary

 

GORDON, WILLIAM A. 88, of West Creek, N.J. passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin.  He was born in West Creek, N.J., and was a lifelong area resident.  Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1949-1950.  He worked as a Union Brick Layer for Local #33, Atlantic City, N.J.  Bill was a life member of Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Co. #52, and a parishioner of St. Theresa R.C. Church, Little Egg Harbor, N.J. 

Bill was predeceased by his parents Frances and Helen Gordon, and his wife of 63 years, Mae Downs.  He is survived by his daughter Mae Wagner, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., sons William E. Gordon, of West Creek, N.J., Joseph Gordon, of New Gretna, N.J., and  Robert Gordon, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., grandchildren Ginny Almond, and Olivia and Robert Gordon, great-granddaughter Katie Almond, along with many nephews and nieces.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.  Please make memorial donations in his name to Shriners Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Operation Smile.
