William G Hubscher

William (Billy) Hubscher, 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Tuckerton, surrounded by his family (and cats) on September 16, 2023.   Billy was raised in East Hanover by his parents, William and Grace Hubscher.   He was a member of the Bricklayers Union, Local 21 in Morristown, NJ for over 35 years.  Billy was an avid gardener who grew “famous” tomatoes and was a world class antique “picker”.  He was a fearless fisherman (no fish stood a chance around Billy) and spent the majority of his life fishing the Barnegat Bay and waters off Long Beach Island.   He married Barbara Nolan Dancy in 1959. Predeceased by his wife and granddaughter, Kate Cirillo-Rice in 2014, he is survived by his three daughters, Cathy Manzo, Christine Perkins and Carole Cirillo, five granddaughters and many great grandchildren.   The world will never know another Billy – may his memory be a blessing!
