Hagar, Harold Randy – 62, of New Gretna, NJ passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015, as his valiant battle with cancer came to an end.  Randy was with the people he loved the most, his passing was peaceful.  Randy was a 1972 graduate of Hamilton High School West in Trenton and worked for the State of New Jersey for 39 years, with 32 spent at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.  Randy enjoyed classic cars, wildlife, and spending time with his family.  Randy was a true “gentle giant”, an intimidating physical presence with his lofty height and ever-present beard, which camouflaged his heart of gold.  He enjoyed finding unique trinkets and gifting them to friends and family who he knew would find enjoyment in these items.  Randy also found many hours of joy in birdwatching from the back windows of his home.  He would research different kinds of birds and would stock his bird feeders to encourage a wide-range of avian wildlife.   He also enjoyed going to auto-racing events with his family and visiting Mount Desert Island in Maine.  Randy is pre-deceased by his parents, Harold and Vivian Hagar, and his father-in-law Joseph Faiss.  Randy is survived by his wife Rose, his children Matthew (Lindsey Brower-Hagar) Hagar and Brianna (Peter) Porcella, his sisters Marilynne Roche and Janice (Nick) Krupa, his brother Timothy (Judy) Hagar, mother-in-law Rose Faiss, and many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Gathering for Randy will be held Saturday, September 26th at 10:00am, with Mass following at 11:00 am, at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish - Church of the Assumption, 146 South Pitney Road, Galloway, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, the Hagar Family requests that donations be made to either the Michael J Neustadter Pancreatic Cancer Fund or the New Jersey Audubon Society.  The Hagar Family also wishes to thank the staffs of University of Pennsylvania Hospital Perelman Center and Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division, especially the nurses of the Progressive Care Unit.

Charitable donations may be made in Harold's memory to the following organizations:

Michael J Neustadter Pancreatic Cancer Fund

New Jersey Audubon Society
