John H. Hulme (Jack) of Tuckerton, N.J.  October 12, 1930-December 20, 2016; Paterson, NJ native, where he met and married his beloved Anna (nee Moore); devoted father of John Hulme, Jr. and dear grandfather of Amanda and husband, Eric, and John Hulme III; loving Pop Pop to Emerson Hayek. Jack was the owner of Hulme’s Tavern and partner in the Double J Tavern in Paterson, NJ and John Hulme Plumbing and Heating in North Haledon, NJ. Before retirement he worked for the Wayne School Board. He rose to the ranks of Corporal in the Marine Corps. Jack was an active member of the Tuckerton Beach Association and a former Grand Knight of the St. Theresa’s Chapter #14615 of the Knights of Columbus.  Predeceased by wife, Anna; brothers Fred and Bill; sisters Dorothy,Joyce, Alice and Betty. Survived by brother Robert Hulme and sister, Loretta Sorrentino and many loved nieces and nephews.  The family will be accepting visitors from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm on Thursday, 12/22 at St. Theresa’s Church (450 Radio Road, Little Egg Harbor 08087). There will be a 9:30am Funeral Mass celebrating a life well lived at St. Theresa’s followed by internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. As he would say, if you’d like to come, that would be swell.  In lieu of flowers, all donations can be made in Jack’s memory to St. Theresa’s Church.  WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J. is handling the arrangements.
