Angelus, Ann Marie (Keefer), 79, peacefully passed away at home on May 31, 2017 after a long illness.  She was born and raised in Newark, NJ along with her brothers and sister by their mother.  She met the love of her life James Nicholas Angelus as a young independent working woman in the late 1960’s.  Their love affair culminated in their marriage and produced two sons, Ronald James and Michael James.  After the boys were born, Jim relocated them to Tuckerton, NJ in 1972 to live a more quiet life away from the city.  Unfortunately, Jim passed away in 1980 leaving Ann to raise their sons alone.  She bore the role of both mother and father giving her sons a loving heart and a guiding example that has remained with them to this day.  She went to work for the Tuckerton School District as a Baker/Cook when her children were young and later worked 21 years for the Tuckerton Water and Sewer Authority.  Upon her retirement in 2007, she was able to enjoy many days spent with her friends and church ladies going to lunch, seeing shows and taking trips to Lancaster.  She had many great times with the “WOWs” and “Lunch Bunch.”  Ann was a doting Nana to her granddaughters Christina and Victoria.  She gushed over them and was immensely proud of every accomplishment.  They were her reason for living.  Although she is gone from this world, we will all feel her presence with us for the rest of our days.  Ann is survived by her sons, granddaughters, Michael’s girlfriend Theresa and her daughter Audrey, whom she loved as her own,  best friend of over 40 years Sheila Prince, sister in law Helen Keefer, who was much more than that to her, niece and nephew Lynn Vogel and Wesley Keefer, who affectionately called her Aunt Judy.  She is predeceased by her mother, Sophia, Brothers Wesley, Bobby and Ronald and sister, Elaine.  Services will be Friday, June 9th from 7-9 pm at Wood Funeral Home 134 E Main Street Tuckerton.  Saturday, June 10th at 10 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 500 Mathistown Rd, Tuckerton with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery N Green Street.  Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ann’s name in lieu of flowers.

Dear Ron, Mike and your extended family. The obituary tribute to your beloved Mother, Grandmother and Aunt was filled with all the love Ann shared with her family and friends over a lifetime. It was beautiful and touched my heart.

May the tender concern of friends and family comfort you at this time.

My name is Garrett Wilds and while I did not know Mrs. Angelus, or you the family, I saw her lovely obituary and wanted to send my sincere condolences. She sounds like such a wonderful lady, one who dearly loved her friends and especially her family - and that is such a beautiful quality, one that is so rare these days. Mrs. Angelus no doubt made a strong impact on her family and I know you miss her. In the days ahead, please remember all of the many wonderful things she had done, her smile, and her sweet nature. Think of comforting Scriptures about our future: Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29 are wonderful examples. Please get your needed rest and take care of yourselves, emotionally, physically and spiritually. And know that I am thinking of you. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.
