TUCKER, THOMAS G., 76, of Little Egg Harbor, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2028, at home.  He was born in Elizabeth, N.J., residing in Iselin, and Toms River prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor.  He graduated from Woodbridge High School where he played football.  He attended Kansas State University while in the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1960-1964, as a member of the Nuclear Missile Launch Crew.  Thomas was a member of IUOE Local 68 of New Jersey, and was employed by CIBA Geigy, of Toms River, as an operating engineer.  He also worked for Atlantic Thermal Systems, in Atlantic City.  Thomas was a member and past President of East Coast Boat Racing, was an avid fisherman, loved boating and was a Corvette enthusiast.  

Thomas is survived by his wife Rita, son Jason Stumpf wife Sara, and granddaughter Amelia, Colorado Springs, CO., daughter Heather Stumpf, Egg Harbor Twp., N.J., sisters Joan Lisowski, Waretown, N.J., and Eileen Cody, and husband Robert, Waretown, N.J., brother Robert Tucker, Bayville, N.J., sister-in-laws Monica and Steve Schankweiler, Mays Landing, and Donna and Larry McCarthy, Egg Harbor Twp.,  and eight nephews and nieces, also will be truly missed by his K-9 buddies Stormy and Sunny.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, from 3-7 PM, with a Service at 3 PM, at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.  Interment will be Monday, October 29, 2018, at 11 AM, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to

We will miss Tom's laugh, his generosity, his fun loving spirit. We are so grateful to have known him.

We were so sorry to hear that Tom passed. We would have been there to say farewell to him if we had known. We often talk about our time at the marina in Tuckerton! What fun we had and what a great time during our dock parties. Our deepest condolences.
