WEST, JOAN M. 84, of Little Egg Harbor, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, N.J. She was born in Trenton, N.J., residing in Ewing, Bordentown, Chesterfield, Hartfield, VA., prior to moving to Tuckerton.
Joan is survived by her son James J. West, wife Noreen and grandson James P. West, of Allentown, N.J. Arrangements are being handled by WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 134 EAST MAIN ST., TUCKERTON, N.J.

Way back when, I was Jim and Joan's newpaper boy. Through the years, Jim became my mentor, teaching me the basics of hunting, decoy carving, and the moments that become important in our lives. Times that may seem insignificant as we experience them but oh so memorable as life goes on. We kept close over the years and although we lost Jim, Joan was there to help relive the memories. On my visits with Joan, she would express the happy times that she and Jim shared and the wonder and love of her son and his family. I wish that I could have visited her more often, as she would so comfortly state when I was preparing to leave, "I love you." I love you too, Joan.
